I just finished a Maeve Binchey book last night (rather disapointed in it, to tell you the truth!) and so started Cathedral this morning. However I have only read a few pages as we were busy all day...and in about 15 mins I have to go and lift J off the bus!
I will say that I didn't like the quote from Betty Williams (the Belfast Peace activist) at the beginning. She is painting everyone with the same brush and we are so not like that at all here!!

no doubt you will read that book much differently than i did!! but remember it is quite dated AND a work of fiction!!!

It's funny Heidi..I am reading a book about my home country and there are 'highways' and 'homicides'!
Also it's strange to see the River Lagan back to front as the Lagan River, and some non-existent street names in Belfast!!
I am getting into it though and know I will enjoy it!
