RIP James Brown
A sad start to Crissy. The man Bruce stole a lot of his Shtick from has gone.
His Apollo album is still one of the best around.

Re: RIP James Brown
One regret I have is never seeing him live. I nearly have a few times, but nearly isn't it. Will spin a tune in his honour after dinner.

Well, actually I feel sad that he's gone, but I'm glad he came to entertain us for a while.

Same here, Paula. In fact, once he played at the same hotel I was staying at in Nevada. Could have had free tix to see him, but I was sick to my stomach, and my a$$ was on fire! (I ate something at the buffet that had crushed red pepper, LOL).

The "Godfather" of soul. (Ooooooh, but so many. He was definitely up there!) May he rest in peace.

Re: RIP James Brown
We recently got 'James Brown's Funky Christmas' CD as a jokey type thing (it was about £1.99 from Homebase) but we've been playing it quite a bit. Very sad news.

Re: RIP James Brown
This was such a shock.
Did you see the footage on the news, of him just three days before he died?
Looked fit as a fiddle( or summat!).
I have to admit that he never really 'tripped my trigger', but still appreciated what he did none the less.
