We aim to please! If I could not laugh about what I posted, I would not have posted.

That's good to hear about your boys. I wish you all well.

LOL. I love you, Martin. Your painful shyness reminds me a bit of myself at that age and also of Joe.

Thankfully, we all seemed to have worked past that.

Ah yes, Joe. I miss him. I did see a lot of me in him but, fortunately for him, he has had the internet and 21st century travel opportunities to help him blossom as a young adult.

Seriously, it's a difficult issue. I have no kids but have dozens of nephews and nieces. If they come from a loving home, which I'm sure your boys do, then I'm equally sure that they will be supported to make the right decisions for themselves.

Sincerely, Martin

You went to Cambridge? wow!was there any one famous there when you were there?Sorry you were afflicted by relationship incompetence and painful shyness, but youve made up for it! I was really shy as a teenager, used to blush at anything, and wouldnt say boo to a goose, No one I knew went to Uni in them days, not from secondary modern school anyway, it was for the elite few! Just realised while you were at Uni I was married and pregnant when you left. emoticon I feel old now.

Oh, there's no such thing - my mind just substituted "chemistry" for "chastity". I was thinking about science geeks having trouble getting girls. Sorry, Martin!

So is "secondary modern" a kind of school? I always sang along with Elvis C. on that, but never had a clue what it was (or even that it was an "it"). I thought he just enjoyed stringing adjectives together.

Now, who's the geek?
