I did a three page write up and posted it on Facebook.
LOTS of details, obviously.
Yep, something BIG happened between us on BTR. I was reaching and reaching, and he saw me, we locked eyes and he bent forward and reached down to me and grabbed my hand with one of his hands and my arm with his other hand. It was like our heads were surrounded by everyone's arms. We just smiled really big and stayed connected with our eyes. This may sound strange, but that moment felt very soulful. In some ways it was more soulful than the dance was.
Does that sound crazy to you? I mean, you saw it! And I was slightly numb at the time.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Heiko. I had a friend pass too soon several years ago (at 42) from cancer. It does suck.
I think the line means that as much as the person was cursed by cancer, they were blessed just as much. It's a way of saying that as much as this sucks, the person was wonderful and blessed in equal measure.
