Bruce Music In Films
I was watching a really poor film on Monday night - Copland with Stallone & De Niro. The only redeeming feature was that it featured two Bruce songs in it, Drive All Night & Stolen Car.
Thought I'd start a thread where we can mention other films that have featured Bruce music . . .

Saw a bit of that Nick. Was just flicking through the channels and got Drive all Night. Why do we get such a trill when we hear songs like that. I was like a kid on Christmas morning.

Re: Bruce Music In Films
25th Hour - The Fuse
Blow - Blinded by the Light (albeit, the Manfred Mann version)
Perfect Storm - Hungry Heart
High Fidelity - The River (with a special appearance by Bruce)
Jerry Maguire - Secret Garden
Philadelphia - Streets of Philadelphia
Many more too. Go to IMDB and you'll see all the movies/TV shows where a Bruce song has appeared.

Nick, I think Copland is a fantastic film...seen it a few years ago and think Stallone is excellent in it!

Re: Bruce Music In Films
Baby It's You, directed by John Sayles about 20 years ago has several Bruce song in it. It kind of feels like his songs come to life (which may have been the whole point of the film). I vaguely recall the lead male driving to Adam Raised a Cain or It's Hard To Be A Saint in The City (or both). Sounds like I did a lot of drugs in the 80s, but honest...I'm just old! Sayles went on to direct a music video for Bruce from BITUSA(maybe I'm On Fire).

Re: Bruce Music In Films
Oh, and then there was No Nukes, a film I saw in the theatre and where I first saw Bruce perform. The River was absolutely mesmerising in that film.
