The Royal Variety Performance is on this week, Ramona. But I think it's Tuesday, so he won't be here, will he?

Ramona, do you have Sky? You MUST make him stay up through the night (especially if he's jet-lagged) so that, like the rest of us True Brits, he can endure the anguish of watching our cricketers getting stuffed by the Aussies. Nothing more English than that.

Also, don't forget to make him watch Morecambe & Wise and Only Fools and Horses - both absolute classics of the British small screen.

And don't forget that great old British tradition at this time of the year - the Pantomime.

Hope he enjoys his first visit to our shores and that you have a great time with him while he's here

I'm sorry, RHW. I nearly missed your post!

Yes, I love Only Fools and Horses and I'm sure I have seen bits of Morcambe & Wise.

I'm sure Daniel would love to see Blackpool. I'm not sure about these pantomimes though. They look so cheesy!

You don't live very far from us. I have been to Morcambe several times. Even manged to save the munchkins from the quicksand a couple of times. LOL

Thanks David. Too bad we didn't tape the Queens birthday & other fuzzy guard related events.

Yes, Nick we do. Good idea. He's never watched cricket before!

Now is not the time to make him sit up and watch England play cricket. What the hell is happening with them Nick. I got up the last morning rushing in to see if they had drawn or managed to win only to find out they had lost, how the hell did that happen. I was in shock for the whole day.

It was horrendous Kathy. I stayed up to watch the first hour knowing that if they survived that without losing a wicket they at least couldn't lose. Then Strauss was out (unluckily), Bell stupdily run out and Pieterson 'thought' out by Warne. Flintoff followed and that was that.

Can't see them getting back from there.
