I have seen Elton John twice...once in about 1984/5, when I was young and stupid...and then in the late 90s when Mo Mowlem (bless her heart) was instrumental in bringing stars to Stormont Castle during the 'Peace Process'. I only went cos it was Stormont...and seeing wee Mo was great.
Wouldn't waste money on Elton now.

There won't be many pics, Jill - Sue got a few good ones at the Paris show, and we've both got some of each other (and John!) in Paris & Copenhagen...looking very very tired...then at the Copenhagen show my camera was taken off me, and Sue wasn't allowed to use hers. I didn't even think about trying to hide the damn thing because it had no problem anywhere else, but lucky me got the conscientious doorman, and because we got in amongst the first he was being extra vigilant. Oh well, he's now got a crappy camera, and I can get a nice shiny new one!!

Just a flyby... we are heading north for my Aunt's funeral (which is tomorrow) when I bust out of work later today, so I will be maintaining radio silence until Wednesday morning!

Saw the Elton John show with Ray Cooper too(79?)one of the best shows I've ever been to,seen Elton a few other times Wembley(75?)topping what must have been one of the all time great bills EJ,Beach Boys,Eagles,Joe Walsh,Chaka Khan and Stackridge..great memories but his voice just has developed into a turgid whinning mess to me,but hope Frankie enjoyed himself.
