Re: School on full lockdown
So far all is quiet. We have a ton of subs in the building because the weekend before Thanksgiving is always the weekend for the big national Teacher conferences. I had a chance to go to the one in Nashville, but opted to hang around and see the Mule tonight instead. The only one of those conventions I ever attended was in Denver in 1999. I remember how nice it was all weekend and when I got up on Monday to fly back east there was a huge snowstorm in progress. Will never forget walking down to the the pedestrian shopping area in downtown Denver in the snow to make one last purchase at the Virgin Megastore there.

Re: School on full lockdown
CL, the snow can come in a flash here in Denver. I'm trying to recall which bad snowstorm it was in 1999, when you were here. We have so many, some more notable than others. We (the natives) are okay with most of the snowstorms we get, but even with us "seasoned" natives, some are by far the worst and will even get under our skin.
