Radio Nowhere
The Ties That Bind
Lonesome Day
Gypsy Biker
Magic
Reason To Believe
Night
She's The One
Livin' In The Future
The Promised Land
Town Called Heartbreak
Darkness On The Edge Of Town
Darlington County
Devil's Arcade
The Rising
Last To Die
Long Walk Home
Badlands

Girls In Their Summer Clothes
Thundercrack
Born To Run
Waitin' On A Sunny Day
American Land

the first four songs seem killer but i think 'magic' will probably bring the show to a screetching halt. yes i know he's going to do lots of the new material and i have no problem with that as i really like the new cd, including this song as well. but i have my doubts as to how it's going to translate live. it'll be this tours 'empty sky'

'reason to believe' is a nice suprise. i just hope he's not doing it full band. it would be much better scaled down. but it's going to face the same problem as 'magic'. how's it going to go over in an arena with idiots chatting away all around you?

'town called darkness' someone please...PLEASE...PLEASE tell me this isn't one of Pattie songs. he wouldn't really do that to us would he?

'darlington county' mehhh.....he has about a hundred songs he could do better than this one, take your pic

'badlands' FOR GOD SAKES RETIRE THIS OLD WARHORSE ALREADY!!!!! at this point in his career anyone who wants to see him live already has. everyone has heard it, most like me a zillion times

'girls in their summer clothes' the weakest track on the new cd imo but that might have more to do with O'Brian's shitty production of it than the song it's self so i'm hopeful it'll be better live

'thundercrack' are you freakin' kidding me!!! that was my #1 wish on the 'rising' tour. i even made a sign asking for it and everything!! lol!! but did i get it? NNNOOOOOOOOO!!!! but i did get 'glory days' and 'american skin' emoticon

'waiting on a sunny day' c'mon man, wtf? why? god i hope he dumps it before he gets to me.

'american land' i can't believe he's doing something from 'the seger sessions' on this ESB tour. i haven't seen any figures to back it up but i think it's a safe bet that was his lowest selling cd ever. that should tell him something, that people don't want to hear it. but at least he wrote it so i'll give it a fair day in court

Not play Badlands? Blasphemy, Fred!!! I really love that song, but I do understand that some songs get old for us long-time fans. That's how I feel about Born To Run. Ramrod is much more fun, and I want him to bring back Thunder Road too.

I saw him do American Land in Belfast, and it rocked, so it makes sense to me that it would be the one to make this tour.

That other song is called "A Town Called Heartbreak", and yes, it is from Patti's new album. So apparently, he would really do that to us!

Reason To Believe - i think that's a very up-lifting song in its original form (not the D&D version), and I think the full-band treatment would be great. It's Bruce's own brand of up-lifting - give examples of how bad life can be and marvel at how people survive and thrive anyway. You don't see that much if at all in rock music. There is so much faith inherent in his music.

"Town Called Heartbreak" is a good song, and why not have a MRS Springsteen song on the tour?

BTW, the title track "PLay it as it Lays" is even better, but perhaps not suitable for an E Street-Band arrangement.

So now it is time to hit me for uttering these thoughts.

Go ahead! :baa:

cause it's not her name on the ticket, it's not her i'm paying to hear. most of the fans i know hate her banshee like screetching anyway. Clarence, Nils and Stevie have done their own stuff too. maybe Bruce should allow them to do a number? emoticon

no, he's not coming down south this leg. that's ok by me though. by next spring i'll have the new material down and the setlist won't be set in stone, though he does seem to be mixing it up early this time round. but he'll be in Germany before he gets to my neck of the woods. you going? he won't forget about us down here but we will have to be patient

I´ll do both, Mannheim and Cologne. Haven´t been to that new arena in Mannheim and don´t know what it´s like. Have been in Cologne quite a few times. Great venue. I know a parking lot 10 minutes away and for free. The godson will be joining us. His first E Street concert. 17 year old guitar player. He got every Springsteen record for his birthdays and christmas plus "Springsteen complete". He thinks the Seeger Sessions Tour has been great. Guess he will be a bit surprised how much better an E Street concert will be.
