So now that we've heard all the samples, the question becomes which song is most likely to be the bathroom break on this tour. I'd say Magic.

Or maybe we should ask the people in Mary's Place. Judging by the name they chose for their section, they of all people should recognize a bathroom break song when they hear one.

None of them catch me. Retreads. I think that I am off of Bruce permanently.

I've got things that Bruce can't even come close to topping.

All good things come to an end. Eventually.

Great, point it to us. Something that overseas that is being eaten up in London but hasn't made it to our shores yet? Something recommended by Pitchfork Media, that may be as over the top hipsterish as its editors something are but that no doubt is on the cutting edge of 2007 alt-rock? I thought it might have been Ryan Adams you were going to recommend, but then I checked out 30 second samples of Ryan Adam's Easy Tiger and couldn't stop laughing. It's all there, the cigarette on the cover to portray an image of "coolness", pretentious elimination of capital letters, repetitive lyrics, a countrified "goodnight rose" right off the start, etc. Yep, it's official - Ryan Adams is a high school poet/street busker!

As for the Magic samples, time will tell, hard to tell much from 30 second samples. Does sound like Bruce has gone back to a comfort zone and given the legions of fans who have been yearning for it "to be 1980 again" what they asked for. So it's not modern rock, and the tiniest glimpse we've been given hints that they're songs that Bruce probably could have pumped out in his sleep 25 years ago. But if it turns out to be on par with Disc 2 of Tracks I'd be more than happy with that at this stage of his career.

I like "Last to Die." It will be hard to judge the others without the benefit of hearing the whole song. But I AM going to buy this album. I've skipped out on the past two because I disliked them so much!
