Anyone like Rufus Wainwright?
I've been listening to him alot as of late. I went out and got all his records and I must say I think he is a genius. The writing is incredible and what a voice. It's worth a listen if you've never had the pleasure before. His album "Poses" is my favorite to this point. I've never seen him live but I've got my fingers crossed that he'll come to CT on his next tour.

love love Rufus Wainwright, as well as his father, Loudon Wainwright the Third (he wrote the theme song for MASH - Suicide is Painless).
I have been fortunate enough to see Rufus on the circuit for the last decade or so, when he was still just opening for bands like Weezer.
His sister is amazing, also. Martha Wainwright, I believe.

He has a new album coming out in May. Closest show to CT so far is Boston.

He was on Jonathan Ross over the weekend & I must say that I enjoyed listening to him. he reminds me of a couple of friends I know...very flamboyant! Kirk knows his work & the history of the entertainers in the family. I feel like I hvae been living in the dark, as I know nothing of them! {shk}
