We did that too. Gorgeous. I would not recommend staying overnight in the Canyon though. Not a damn thing to do there at night!

I'm going to a wedding in Las Vegas in January. I'm not into gambling, not into the 'tack'. Is there anything else to do there? Any places anyone can recommend?
My advice to you is to drink heavily. Go to O'Shey's & have the midget pour you a shot while standing on the bar.

That depends on the company you're with!

Re: LAS VEGAS
Wow - knew I could rely on you lot to give me good (and varied!) advice. Not sure if I'll have time for the horse riding but plenty of other stuff to go at. May give the midgets a miss though!!

Re: LAS VEGAS
I stayed overnight at the canyon ..not much to do at night but the Canyon is so beautiful that you could enjoy it for two days...just sitting and meditating with the natural beauty...then rent a car drive to Vegas...I think there are still wild horses roaming free around the one highway to get there....then you can stop at the damn..a must and go down to the river :)
then you can go for Vegas..yeah and the solicitors hand out the trash no matter who is a round...hope you don't get cooties....then go enjoy the casinos and shows....the places at the grand canyon (motels on the canyon) usually go quick depending on the season...so if you decide better dial quickly

True. Threesomes are out of the question in my book, though, Ramona. I suppose we could have given Joe a bunch of quarters and sent him to the arcade and the bowling alley in the hotel for awhile. Hindsight is always 20/20.
I bet I would have had more fun than I did having books thrown at me.
