"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." - Martin Luther King jnr

well quoted karen...

i know he was responsible for so many deaths, but they way they handled it was not good. The pictures, the whole way the press has handled it (or was instructed to handle it) was (in my opinion) way out of line

Re:

I agree Jo

All left a very dull feeling in my heart. I can understand the relatives of the people killed on 9/11 wanting revenge and rejoicing that he died, I really can. If he had been responsible for killing a relative of mine I'd have wanted to shoot him myself; that's a normal response. But like you say the way the Press handled it and the scenes of rejoicing etc...Just not right. From a human perspective, it just wasn't right.

Fred, dance away, but it isn't right son xx

I agree with you, Karen. I was surprised his death was such a big deal to anyone anymore. 9/11 was so much bigger than one little man.

Ach, I am of the opinion that some people deserve to die, even though I do not believe in capital punishment (how is that, I wonder? I'll have to think about that one)... that aside, think of it this way - It would be a CIRCUS were he simply detained. No country in the world could possibly be prepared and/or capable of holding him. He did not commit a crime... he committed atrocities of a Hitler nature.

It was much kinder to shoot him quickly and end it before anyone else got their hands on him. Some people are SO bad there is nothing else that can be done.

It's not that i regret his death space; i just found the press engle and the scenes of celebration repugnant. It s should have been a sobre day with remembrance for his victims - the flag having and dancing made me feel sick
