Re: ThE APC: chapter 3

OK...so I'm thinking I might like to do a little something indulgent for myself before Thanksgiving or Christmas. So I'm researching spas in Birmingham and found a 20% off coupon for a FAB pedicure from this Aveda salon in upscale Mountain Brook where they can't wait to greet you at the door with a fruit and cheese tray and champagne.
But wait, there's more...
This local website that I found has a monthly contest to win stuff with some of the salons that has good word of mouth.
This month's contest is....and here were my choices.

The best, hands down blue-ribbon winner for the
most dreaded holiday season smell is...

Grampa's hot rum breath

Tofurkey baking in the oven

A freshly unwrapped and assembled Christmas tree from China

The 3-foot deep covering of unraked leaves in your backyard

That new sweater veest smell - ahhhhh

Overly-used credit card fumes

The awful stench of holiday card gut-guilt

Or you could throw in your own....

So....I'm thinking of all the seasonal/holidays smells, and we are talking smells, that I truly DREAD...
What would be the one?
And like Thundercrack it hit me....

So I wrote....
The moment Spot clears a room all by himself ala natural gas due to the "holiday scraps" everyone has given him.
I love my Mom's dogs...but there is some ginormous stank happening there.
The fact that it rivals not only that of my father but also of my brother is of grave concern in and of itself....LOL!

Just taking liberty with a lighthearted moment and to give NJS a karma point.

Oh...and RoNo....Back In Your Arms...
I don't think it'd be much of a stretch to say of the three of us, I'd sink fastest to the bottom of the Charles.
Hope you're all able to find some comfort in that.
LOL!

Well Crew... it's over.... for now.

The Judge ruled the Special Power of Attorney is invalid. I still have joint legal custody. If MWNB wants to have something written up for Guy to make a medical emergency decision if he OR I have been contacted and are not available, he can.
But... he is supposed to take Sandy to regular doctor appointments and attend any school conferences. The Judge was adament that these "day to day" issues are his responsibility and are to be handled by him and not a "unrelated third party". When he said that his work schedule doesn't allow him to take care of these things, she told him to "change your work schedule".

The Judge asked why there were Kingdom Rules, and why was he allowing an unrelated 3rd party to dictate what goes on in his house. She asked if he planned to marry Guy and he said he "hadn't decided yet".

Freddie was argumentative about the Court deciding what goes on in his house, and threatened to file for full (sole legal) custody.

I am to have a private phone line installed at the house and take full responsibility for the bills. The phone is not to be taken away from Sandy under any circumstances. If Freddie feels he needs to check on what Sandy is doing behind closed doors (when speaking with me), he has that right. But Guy is not to interrupt or disrupt any phone calls between me and Sandy.

The Judge refused to address my request for the 12.5 statement from Guy to be distroyed.

So... I guess I have won the battle that the SPOA is invalid. I only hope I can get the co-operation of these 2 ass-hats to get the phone installed.
But I have a feeling the war is not over.

If he decides to be a dick and go for sole legal custody, I will have to get a NJ lawyer. If anybody knows a way to find a capable Family Law attorney in Bergen County, please let me know.

emoticon Thank you AWL for your PA, love and support.
I really, truly appreciate it.

Now it's bACK to work.
Later...

Re: ThE APC: chapter 3

After reading this it would appear to me that the Judge was not at all sympathetic with the "third party" which I think is good. I also feel that if he does decide to seek sole custody all of this will be brought forth. The fact that he "has not decided" whether or not to marry her should give everyone (judge included) a clue. If he continues to be the MWNB, let it be declared that you, Our Queen, have enough to make up for his lack thereof.

Congrats on winning the battle, Lil QueEnie. I know I had to have a Medical Authorization to have my hubby's kids treated in case of emergency even when I was the stepmother, and not an unrelated third party.

This is my fav part of your post: The Judge asked why there were Kingdom Rules, and why was he allowing an unrelated 3rd party to dictate what goes on in his house. No !@#$, Sherlock!

Faith rewarded, Sherry!

Hooray for the judge!

As for the 12.5 statement, it might be good that that's stayin' on the record. It documents some stuff that's way out of line and not according to the original decrees.

Love you!

That's my favorite too. I said the same thing almost word for word. And I agree with Melz that it may be good for you to keep the 12.5-pager on the record. It makes the writer and signer look bad, not you. Mucho congratulations, Sherry! I have a strong faith, but I have to say that it feels really good to get exactly what I prayed for this morning!

Re: ThE APC: chapter 3

In other news, we just mounted a small exhibit (18"x24") of my photos in our staff lounge/exhibit space. One of my co-workers had put photos up in August that another co-worker had taken. Some other people said she should put my photos up next and she said, "Yes, I was thinking we could have a revolving exhibit because we have lots of talent in this place." I think that's a nice idea. We all bring our stuff in to show our friends, but this way, we'll all get to see the products of each others' hobbies.
