you'll be underweight in no time.

you know what I really think? no one drinks enough water. water helps one lose weight. as well as eating for your blood type.

Punch...tell me about the eating for your blood type thing. I knew someone a long time ago that swore by that, but I never learned about it myself.

Water. 2-4 litres per day, essential.

many moons ago, when the earth was fairly young, life was different. we had the hunters, and the gatherers, depending on demographics. both ate what was respectively available. as the human body does, the species man developed different characteristics according to what he ate.
hehe.

there is an excellent book about it, Lisa. and it makes a difference that is unbelievable. Take me, for example. I'm an A blood type. I am supposed to go for poultry, as opposed to red meat. Lets say I over eat on the red meat in the course of one week. well the problem is that my body, if I am eating a food not good for my blood type, will actually become toxic, and my body will store the toxins, having no way to dispose of them. coffee works well with my body, yet for an O blood type it is the opposite. starches are terrible for me (as they are for most people), the list goes on and on. there are even vegetables that I should not eat on a regular basis. (I am not sure which ones, offhand, but I am rooting for sprouts and peas).

if you ever feel sluggish and not quite your best, chances are you are not eating for your specific blood type. now, that being said, I still pretty much do what I want. I just take it easier on the things I know do not work well with my system.

It makes good sense!

I live and die by the olive oil, however, there is no substitute for butter in the important stuff-like dipping lobster or crab!

Also, on cake mixes, you can eliminate the eggs by adding either 1/2 cup or 1 cup of diet or regular sprite (I recommend coke products on chocolate cake), and you can substitute fat free yogurt for the vegetable oil.

A great, low fat veggie dip is greek tzatziki. Delicious!

I know! Cool huh? I think it's the lesser omentum that grows when someone gains weight. A healthy one is "lacy" and one of someone a bit overweight is like tubs of lard.

Oprah teaches me everything! haha

It does make sense! I may have to look into it. Thanks.

I wonder what type of foods an AB negative person should eat. I'll have to look that up. Interesting.

Wow! Lots of catching up to do on this thread with interesting diet plans! I'm on day 3 now, and have lost atleast 5 pounds, so it has encouraged me to stay on the plan until weekend. :p

That's great Ramona! I still plan on doing the cabbage soup diet this week, although I may end up blowing it on Sunday when we host the San Diego Chargers here for the football game. emoticon

Either way, it's nice to take a few days away from all the food out there, Stephanie. Self discipline helps you stay focused on a lot of things.
