Corrected setlist:

Song no 18, is NOT the Neil Young song.
but a totally new song.

1. Blinded By The Light
2. Old Dan Tucker
3. Atlantic City
4. Eyes on The Prize
5. Jesse James
6. O Mary Don't You Weep
7. Growin Up
8. Erie Canal
9. Oklahoma Home
10. Devils & Dust
11. Mrs.McGrath
12. How can a Poor Man Stand Such Time And Live ?
13. Jacob's Ladder
14. Long Time Coming
15. Jesus Was An Only Son
16. Open All Night
17. Pay Me My Money Down
18. GONNA BE A LONG WALK HOME ( Worldpremiere )

A Long Walk Home was a new song, a "work in progress" he called it. He introduced it by saying that some semblence of sanity had been restored to the US this week but everything that was broke now needed fixing.

It had a nice sound and feel to it, quite slow. Hard to pick up most of the lyrics but seemed to be about someone returning to his home town. Typical Bruce territory, really.
( London Calling from SPL )

19. You Can Look ( But You Never Can Touch )
20. When The Saints
21. This Little Light of Mine
22. American Land
23. Froggie Went a Courtin'

Re: UK - LONDON Wembley Arena 11-11-2006 Setlistwatch

Just in from the concert- truly brilliant. The band are tighter musically and more at ease. Too tired to do a proper review- but Bruce introduced Long Walk Home as a "work in progress" and talked about how on tour he sometimes sits in his hotel room and writes new songs. He also introduced it as song about re-building after the damage done by Bush's adminstration (something like "the US has finally returned to sanity, but a lot of damage was done and will take a long time to heal" can't remember exactly. SOOOO I think it was premiere of a new Bruce song, not a Neil Young cover, but I could be wrong.

Great great gig. Feet tired from all the dancing.

And what a lovely bunch of friendly people I finally met from this board- very welcoming you all were and really good to meet you.

Take care all.

David.

Thanks Badmuts- I think I was still writing my post when you posted the corrected songlist, so thank you for the clarification- Long Walk Home was a lovely song- quiet and focusing on the damage done to ordinary lives by politicians like Bush. Very moving.

Great concert - The Arena is my favourite place - thought the crowd were a little subdued at first but Bruce got them going after while. Met some lovely people - can't remember their names now but first timers. Brilliant view - front back of the first pit by choice (need to have easy access to the loos at my age). Security were great too. Shame Bernie Ecclestone and his crew had two of the best rows of the seated area - didn't seem to be into it that much!!! Just shows - money doesn't give you everything!!! and his is sooooooo ugly.
