Making millions but then paying most of the money out to paying if the huge debts he has & will be paying off for years..
Not sure he should be allowed to own a dog..
Surely Tom Brady will be the season's MVP

If the law allows Vick to own a dog after his probation, then the law disgraces all of us.

Have you heard his apologies?

He let the fans, the league, and himself down. Not one word of remorse about the poor dogs.

Disgusting. Comeback player of the year. Does the NFL have no shame or sense of decency at all?

I will never understand why people idolize sport figures. And I will never understand why they get paid millions of dollars for playing a sport.

And you are right about Vick's apologies; I have never once heard him say he was sorry about the dogs. He's just sorry he got caught.

He had better never be allowed to have a dog! I don't even know how he could even look at a dog after what he did. You can't possibly possess a heart or a soul to do what he did to those dogs. I view him as a worthless human being.

I had the news on when I was getting ready for work today. Some feckhead in the metro Detroit area had a fight with his wife. She went to bed and he decided to kill one of their dogs. He stabbed the dog multiple times. His wife found the dead dog when she got up the next morning.

He had a $50,000.00 bond but someone must have ponied up and paid his bond because he is not in jail. The poor dog's name was 'Lucky'. Not such a lucky dog.

I've never met a truly mean dog though I have been bitten by more than a few dogs. Par for the course when you have been a dog groomer.

I suppose I probably should have turned out to be afraid of dogs because a family dog bit me on the lower lip when I was about 5 years old. I still have a scar there that no one ever notices. I can barely see it.

My Dad took that dog 'out to a farm' when my mother took me to the hospital to have my lip stitched up. The dog was gone when by the time I got back home.

In retrospect I just think that breed of dog was a poor fit for a family with 6 young children. Little dogs can only take so much mucking from young children. I am certain that I wasn't mucking the dog when I got bitten. She was probably just fed up from all of the mucking from my brothers and sisters.

Can't remember how old I was before I figured out that taking a pet to 'live on a farm' was a euphamism. I think I finally figured that one out when we actually lived on a damn farm. We had a Border Collie named Queenie. Queenie was super-protective over the property and all of us kids. Queenie wouldn't allow any strangers onto our property.

If I recall correctly, Queenie wound up biting my great Uncle Frank and that was the end of her living with us. My Dad said he was taking Queenie to 'live on a different farm'. That was when the gig was up. Queenie was only doing what she had been bred to do.

I really should plan a visit to go see my great Uncle Frank soon. He is still alive but not doing so well. I always adored him but I could never figure out why he put up with my great Aunt Sis. She is about 4 and 1/2 feet tall and she has one of the sharpest tongues I have ever seen on a person.

I was the victim of her sharp tongue quite a few times and I don't think I gained her approval until I was in my 40's. She and Uncle Frank attended my 2nd wedding and Aunt Sis told me then that I had done a 'wonderful job' raising Jessie. Still sharp-tongued because my sister/Jessie's mother was standing right there when Aunt Sis said that.

Anyways, I have never seen a truly mean dog but I have met a ton of mean, cruel and totally heartless people. I have also met a lot of really mean ponies. LOL.

The key to the city?! Was that really necessary?! Vick is a felon that is still on probabtion; what is wrong with this whole picture? What kind of message does this give?

Has everyone forgotten what he did to those dogs?! The dog-fighting alone is heinous enough but he also killed dogs by drowning them, electrocuting them, shooting them, hanging them from trees etc. I can't even think of how long and hard you would have to work on trying to drown a pit bull. Would you never have one moment of pity or kindness during all of that?! He obviously didn't experience one moment of 2nd thoughts when he was busy making his 'mistakes' for 5 years.

Those actions weren't 'mistakes' or 'immature' actions as Vick likes to portray them. They were the actions of a sociopath.

It's one thing to say "Oh well, he did his time. We should let him have the right to earn a living and play football for millions of dollars." It's another thing entirely to laud him, roll out the red carpet and give him the key to a city!

He would not still be in prison if I had been the judge in his case. He would have gotten the same fate that he doled out to those dogs. He admitted to killing 8 to 13 dogs in the cruelest of ways. I suspect the real number is much higher than 13.

And, yes, I do value the life of just a single dog more than I value the life of this horrendous sociopath. He is not a person; he is a predator.

He gets a free pass (and the keys to cities) simply because he can play football well. WTF is wrong with this society?!

And it is not just Vick. It's countless other profesional sports figures that get away with everything from rape to murder just because they play sports. I find that to be completely and utterly disgusting.

Is a football game really that important?! Is any 'game' important enough for us as a society to look the other way and not hold these men fully accountable for their actions? I think not.
