Re: Eurothreads..and friends all around the world!

Image

Just got back from our mini-vacation and it was a blast!! I don't think I've ever in my life had a more thrilling white water rafting trip than this one. It was spectacular! I only came close to falling out of the raft once and my Daughter yelled at me, "Fall In!!" (that's what the guide tells you to do if you think you're going to fall out of the raft, to throw your body in the raft, as you really don't want to fall into a raging river, if you can avoid it) I almost lost my oar going through one of the shoots as this gush of water came over the raft with such force, oh it was just awesome!! This is the absolute best time to go rafting in Colorado as the river is running very strong. I'll have to tell Carrie that our guide was from Chicago (he was rather a cutie too)

They shoot pictures of your raft at various times going down the river and then when you get back to the rafting place you can view your pictures. My daughter bought the CD video and I can't wait download the photo's. There's this one shot of my Daughter digging her oar into the rapids with this look on her face like, "You're not going to take me you !@#$!" (the river) OMG...we laughed our asses off. Then there's this one of my Son who looks like he's about 2ft above the seat going down this one area of the river, with a !@#$ eating grin on his face!

It was an absolute blast! My right side of my body is pretty sore, but other than that, it was simply the best river run I've ever had.

Morning all. Another lovely sunny day here. It is not helping in my efforts to keep the technicians at work while the boss is on holidays. I know they are skiving off early but there is not a lot I can do about it.

Gosh Steph, thats sounds like you had a blast. I just wouldnt have the nerve to do that. I am already worried about what the boys will want me to do at the water park when we go on holidays.

Glad that you are starting to feel better Ramona.

Re: Eurothreads..and friends all around the world!

Thanks, Kath. Kirk was nice enough to drive me to the station this morning. The walk to work seemed much longer, nipped into Morrison's and got some Lemsip, but feeling extremely lightheaded. Just getting my desk organised so I can "work smarter". Hopefully I will have some good results today. I don't know if I'm brave enough for white water rafting either. I'll bet a lot can go wrong! emoticon

Steph
That looks fantastic...but I dunno if I'd be brave enough to do it...I'm not too keen on being in the water, despite being a water sign!!
Davy would love it though..he used to canoe a lot and he surfed too!
I canoed only on still calm water!!

Got my Bryan tix today...wooooohooooooo!!!!
(Still no hotel booked yet though!! emoticon )

This one has reached 300+ pages and usually punch archives it then..but Martin has started a new thread with the same name and it confuses us oldies!

I have put in a request for him to change the new thread's title!

Now I have to go shopping!
